Iraqi leader urges resolving regional issues via dialogue
Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement leader emphasized in a meeting with the Iranian ambassador that any regional issues should be solved through dialogue.

Tehran - BORNA - Iraq’s National Wisdom Movement leader Ammar al-Hakim and Iran’s ambassador to Iraq Mohammad Kazem Al-e-Sadeq held talks and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and Iran in a manner that serves the interests of both nations and deepens their Islamic, cultural, economic, and political cooperation, al-Hakim's office said in a statement.

In this meeting, al-Hakim described the upcoming parliamentary elections in Iraq as a decisive and pivotal event that could move the country “from a fragile state to lasting stability.”

The Iraqi leader added that peace and stability in the region are essential for achieving international security and stability.

Al-Hakim also underscored the importance of supporting the Palestinian people, assisting displaced population, and rebuilding devastated cities, while stressing that issues should be resolved through dialogue.
