Egyptian FM Holds Phone Talks with Araghchi, Grossi, and Witkoff on Iran’s Nuclear File
Egypt’s Foreign Ministry announced that Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held separate phone conversations with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi, and U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs Steve Witkoff regarding developments related to Iran’s nuclear file.

Tehran - BORNA - The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that the calls came as part of Cairo’s efforts to promote regional security, stability, and de-escalation, and to build on the positive momentum created by the Cairo agreement signed between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on September 9.

During the discussions, the parties emphasized the need to continue efforts aimed at reducing tensions, building mutual trust, and creating conditions conducive to resuming negotiations between Iran and the United States to achieve a comprehensive agreement that considers the interests of all sides and contributes to regional security and stability.

The statement added that the parties agreed to maintain close coordination and follow up on proposed ideas to facilitate tangible progress in this regard.
