Iraqi National Security Adviser meets Iran’s top security official in Tehran
Iraq’s National Security Adviser Qassem al-Araji met on Monday afternoon with Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council and Senior Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, to discuss bilateral and regional security developments.

Tehran - BORNA - Al-Araji arrived in Tehran earlier in the day at the head of a high-level political and security delegation, where he was received by Mousa Alizadeh-Tabatabaei, Director of the Persian Gulf Department at Iran’s Foreign Ministry.

The visit comes at the invitation of Ali Larijani, who recently assumed the post of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council. During his stay, the Iraqi official is scheduled to hold consultations with several senior Iranian political and security figures to further strengthen coordination between the two neighboring countries.

Both sides are expected to review joint security mechanisms, the fight against terrorism, and regional stability, underscoring the ongoing cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad in maintaining peace along shared borders and confronting common threats.
