Venezuela Warns of Planned CIA 'False Flag' Operation to Justify Aggression

Tehran - BORNA - Foreign Minister Yván Gil Pinto announced on Monday that the CIA is preparing a "false flag" operation through a staged attack on a docked U.S. military ship to create a pretext for aggression against Venezuela.

Quoting the Al Mayadeen news network, the Venezuelan official stated that his country has transferred the necessary intelligence regarding this alleged fabricated plot to the government of Trinidad and Tobago. He stressed that the scenario's objective is to attribute the attack to Venezuela and then use it to legitimize aggressive actions against Caracas.

Venezuela's Foreign Minister also claimed that a "criminal network funded by the CIA," linked to this clandestine operation, has been identified on Venezuelan soil and that the process of dismantling it has begun.

This warning comes amid recent international media reports detailing increased tensions in the region and U.S. movements around Venezuela.
