Jeffrey Epstein: The Shadow of Mossad and the Network of Power in America
By Homayoun Barkhor | English Desk Editor & Foreign Policy Analyst, Borna News Agency: The U.S. president’s decision not to release the full details of the Epstein case has enraged many of his own supporters, who believe that the American government is under the control of Mossad—an allegation that explains, in their view, why Epstein’s files have remained sealed.

Tehran - BORNA - Jeffrey Epstein, the enigmatic American billionaire, is a figure whose trail can be traced through layers of corruption, abuse, blackmail, politics, and potential intelligence infiltration. From his complex relationships with U.S. presidents, British royals, and New York’s financial elite, to his suspicious death in prison and theories regarding ties to Mossad, Epstein’s case is far more than a sexual scandal—it is a mirror reflecting the complex and interwoven structures of power in the West.

A Mysterious Life and Suspicious Rise

Jeffrey Epstein began his career in the 1980s as a math teacher with no formal academic qualifications. He soon entered Wall Street. According to the New York Times, he rapidly ascended into the circles of economic and political elites. His Manhattan mansion—once the largest private residence in the area—his private island in the Virgin Islands, his infamous jet known as the “Lolita Express,” and connections to figures like former President Bill Clinton, President Donald Trump, Prince Andrew of the UK, and American investor Leon Black all point to a vast network of influence.

Many Americans and analysts have questioned how Epstein rose to such heights—and with whose backing.

Sexual Crimes and an Organized Pattern of Blackmail

In the early 2000s, the first complaints of sexual abuse of underage girls emerged against Epstein. In 2008, he secured a controversial plea deal with Florida prosecutors: just 13 months of lenient jail time with generous privileges, no client list disclosed, and no charges for his accomplices. Later dubbed the “deal of the century,” the agreement raised serious concerns over class-based justice in America.

After being re-arrested in 2019, the FBI uncovered tens of thousands of documents, photos, and evidence from Epstein’s properties—pointing to a sophisticated network for abuse, covert filming, and blackmail of powerful individuals. Victims like Virginia Giuffre stated that they were coerced into having sex with political and business elites while being filmed.

As Tucker Carlson has argued that "the Epstein case revealed elite immunity from justice, calling it symptomatic of a broader system failure.”

Death in Prison: Suicide or Elimination?

In August 2019, Epstein was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York. Officials called it suicide, but independent forensic reviews and details like a broken neck and inactive security cameras suggested otherwise.

The Washington Post reported, “At the time of his death, the cameras were off and the guards were asleep.”

American public opinion largely believes his death was a staged closure to prevent the release of the client list—a list that has never been officially confirmed nor denied.

Pam Bondi and the Trump Administration: A Vanishing List

During the 2024 election campaign, Donald Trump promised to expose the truth about Epstein if elected. In early 2025, Attorney General Pam Bondi claimed to possess Epstein’s client list and said it would be released “after review.”

However, in a February 2025 interview with CBS News, Bondi backtracked: “I never said I had the list. There is no such list.”

This contradiction further fueled doubts about the Trump administration’s political will to uncover the truth.

Trump himself recently dodged questions about Epstein during a cabinet meeting, calling on the public and journalists to “move on.”

The FBI this week also concluded that there is no evidence that Epstein—despite being a convicted sex offender—blackmailed powerful individuals, maintained a client list, or was murdered in prison. This conclusion directly contradicts the theories put forth by leading Trump allies such as J.D. Vance, now Vice President, and Kash Patel, the FBI director.

This discrepancy has angered many Americans, even die-hard Trump supporters. Some warn that it could backfire during the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential race.

Steve Bannon, a former Trump advisor, said Friday: “It’s not just a pedophilia ring or anything like that. It’s about who governs us. If this story is buried, you’ll lose 10% of the MAGA base. And if we lose 10% now, we’ll lose 40 seats and the presidency in 2026.”

He added, “They [the Trump administration] have disappointed the true populists.”

Was Mossad Involved?

Amid Trump’s retreat from his promises, Tucker Carlson, the influential American commentator and longtime Trump supporter, said: “No one knows how Epstein made his money. But the reality is, he did things that intelligence agencies do: sexual traps, surveillance, and blackmail. I have no hard proof, but everything screams Mossad. I love the MAGA movement and hope it succeeds, but we can’t just ignore the Epstein file.”

Carlson also claimed that many powerful figures—including White House officials, the State Department, and Congress—were tied to Epstein.

He added sarcastically, “There is no Epstein file. No victims. No island. Those arrested are political prisoners being held hostage by the government.”

Professor John Mearsheimer, a leading international relations theorist, told Judge Napolitano: “Israel has many ways to preserve Washington’s unconditional support. It’s quite possible Epstein was a tool to control American decision-makers. We have no definitive proof—but plenty of circumstantial evidence.”

Ray McGovern, a longtime CIA officer, also confirmed Epstein’s role as a Mossad asset. “Epstein was certainly one of their assets,” McGovern said, “and the Israelis benefitted first and foremost from his operation.”

McGovern added: “Clearly someone paid him a lot. I don’t know exactly who, but if you consider who gained—first the Israelis, then those who had fun on that island—it’s clear they didn’t think they could be blackmailed.”

The Criminal Network: Epstein Was Not Alone

Evidence suggests Epstein ran a criminal enterprise that included accomplices like Ghislaine Maxwell, now imprisoned on charges of human trafficking and aiding sexual abuse. But none of the powerful clients or financiers behind him have been prosecuted.

Possible Israeli Involvement in U.S. Policy

Despite denials from the Trump administration, Israeli media like Haaretz have reported that Epstein was active in New York’s Zionist circles. Some analysts argue that his cooperation with Israeli intelligence may have been aimed at manipulating U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East—especially regarding the Iran nuclear deal, arms sales, and financial support to Tel Aviv.

Structural Reasons for the Cover-Up

This is not just a criminal or sexual case. Due to the involvement of numerous current and former U.S. officials, it has become a national security issue. Among the names mentioned unofficially in court files and media are U.S. presidents, attorneys general, former CIA heads, senior military leaders, and top congressional figures.

Releasing the full client list would severely undermine public trust in America’s justice and intelligence institutions. If it turns out a strategic ally like Israel was involved in such a scheme, it would spark an international legal and diplomatic crisis. As investigative journalist Raymond Butcher puts it: “If it’s proven that Mossad orchestrated this with parts of the U.S. government in the loop, it will forever discredit American governance.”

Victims Still Seek Justice

Years after Epstein’s suspicious death, dozens of victims still await justice. Virginia Giuffre, a primary plaintiff, testified: “We witnessed not just rape, but structural corruption, intelligence collusion, and international power-brokering to silence victims.”

She has repeatedly called for the full disclosure of everyone tied to Epstein.

Epstein Is Dead, But the Case Is Alive

Many court records remain sealed, but analysts believe the Epstein case has become a symbol of rot and abuse of power in America. It exposes not only moral and financial corruption but foreign influence, security decay, and the fragility of the U.S. political system.

Trump’s silence, Pam Bondi’s retreat, and the government’s refusal to answer questions all point to a deep-rooted fear—of exposing how the U.S. may have been ensnared in a multilayered web of corruption, infiltration, and psychological operations.
