Iran becomes vice champion in 2025 World Karate Championships
Iranian karate practioners have finished runner-up in 2025 World Karate Championships.
Tehran - BORNA - Iranian karate team won a gold, a silver and a bronze medal in the event and finished in second place.
Atousa Golshadnezhad made history after winning a gold medal in the world chamionships as the first Iranian woman. She defeated China’s Gong Li 4-2 in the final match of the Female Kumite -61kg on Sunday.
The hosts Egypt became champions with a total of nine medals—four gold, one silver, and four bronze.
