Iran Men’s Taekwondo Team Clinches U-21 World Championship Title
Tehran - BORNA - Iran’s men’s national U-21 taekwondo team, led by head coach Majid Aflaki, claimed the premature championship title at the global competition held in Kenya.
The team has demonstrated dominant performance throughout the tournament. To date, Iranian athletes Abolfazl Zandi, Radin Zeinali, and Amirreza Gholami have each secured gold medals, while Ashrafi contributed a bronze medal to the team's tally.
The Iranian men’s team has two representatives competing on the final day, with Matin Rezaei and Mohammad Alizadeh having already defeated their rivals to advance to the semi-finals, thereby guaranteeing two additional bronze medals for Iran.
Furthermore, Iran's women's team also remains in contention for a global podium finish, having already secured one gold medal through Mobina Ne'matzadeh and one bronze medal courtesy of Hasti Mohammadi. On the final day, Sayna Karimi has advanced to the quarter-final stage, boosting the team's hopes.
