Araghchi Heads to Baku for Talks
Tehran - BORNA - Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed to Baku, the capital of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on Sunday at the head of a diplomatic delegation.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei, addressing the Foreign Minister's travel during his press briefing today, said: "The Foreign Minister is traveling to Azerbaijan today and will hold discussions and consultations with the country's Foreign Minister and President tomorrow."
Baghaei added: "Our relationship with Azerbaijan is important. We are two neighboring countries sharing the same faith and we have extensive historical partnership. Therefore, our effort through these visits is to expand the relations between the two countries and strengthen mutual understanding in the Caucasus region."
