Iranian ambassador, Turkish deputy FM stress closer ties
Iran’s ambassador to Turkey has met with the country’s newly appointed deputy foreign minister in Ankara, with both sides underscoring the importance of close and longstanding ties between Tehran and Ankara.

Tehran - BORNA - Mohammad Hassan Habibollahzadeh, Iran’s ambassador to Turkey, held talks with Musa Kulaklikaya, Turkey’s new deputy foreign minister, on Saturday, during which the two officials reaffirmed their determination to further expand bilateral cooperation.

Facilitating the affairs of citizens and addressing key consular issues were among the main topics discussed, with both sides stressing the need for enhanced cooperation in this area.

The two officials also welcomed efforts to strengthen educational cooperation between the diplomatic academies of Iran and Turkey, describing such exchanges as an important means of sharing experiences and improving diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

They further expressed support for expanding cooperation and dialogue between Iran’s Institute for Political and International Studies and Turkey’s Centre for Strategic Research to deepen mutual understanding of regional and international developments.

Other bilateral, regional and international issues were also discussed during the meeting.
