Iran deplores UAE statement about the Iranian islands
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has rejected the repeated baseless claim about Iranian islands in the statement issued at the end of the Chinese Foreign Minister's visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Tehran - BORNA - The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed regret over the UAE's insistence on misusing the presence of any diplomatic delegation in the country to make territorial claims against Iran, and condemned the repetition of the baseless and false claim about Iranian islands in the final statement of the Chinese Foreign Minister's visit to the country.
Beghaei also said, "The Iranian islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb are inseparable parts of Iran's territorial territory, and any territorial claim about them is clearly in opposition to the principle of respect for the territorial integrity of other countries and good neighborliness."
