Iran-China strategic ties need deepening coop. in all areas
Advisor and Aide to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Mohammad Mokhber has said that strategic relations between Tehran and Beijing require deepening cooperation in all areas.

Tehran - BORNA - He made the remarks in a meeting with a group of directors of Chinese think tanks and research institutes on the international relations on Monday, and termed Tehran-Beijing relations ‘strategic’.

Mokhber emphasized that strategic relations between Iran and China require deepening cooperation in all dimensions.

Referring to the important role of think tanks of the two countries in introducing capacities and enhancing the level of interactions in all areas, Mokhber noted that strategic relations between the two countries, as the two strategic partners, dates back to more than half a century.

Given the developments in the contemporary world of today, these long-standing and age-old relations require boosting and developing cooperation in the economic, cultural, and technological fields between the two countries.

He, who is also a member of the Expediency Council, considered the role of think tanks of the two countries ‘important’ in identifying barriers of communications, stating Tehran-Beijing Think Thank centers must mutually fulfill their duty in introducing investment capacities and better understanding between people of the two countries optimally.

The two countries have high potentials to enhance their relations at the highest level, Mokhber stated, emphasizing that Iran attaches great importance to its relations with China in all fields.

Turning to the commonality between Iran and China in confronting Western unilateralism, he considered the strategy of engagement with China ‘definitive strategy of the Islamic Establishment.

He then referred to the cooperation between the two countries in confronting the West's oppressive sanctions against Iran, adding that Tehran welcomes the comprehensive and all-out development of relations with Beijing.

Holding joint meetings between think tanks of the two countries is a major step in deepening economic, political and other governance relations, the Leader’s aide noted.
