Iran, Tajikistan emphasize expanding cooperation
Officials from Iran and the Republic of Tajikistan have stressed the need to broaden interaction in the social and welfare fields.

Tehran - BORNA - Chairman of Iran’s Welfare Organization Javad Hosseini, who has traveled to Tajik capital of Dushanbe, met and held talks with his Tajik counterpart Mohieddin Kheirollah to discus expansion of cooperation in the field of empowering individuals with disabilities and supporting unattended children.  

During the meeting, the two sides pointed to deep cultural, lingual, and historical commonalities between Iran and Tajikistan, emphasizing the necessity of developing and deepening bilateral cooperation in the social and welfare fields.

Drawing a joint comprehensive roadmap for expanding cooperation in the fields of education, technology, exchange of technical knowledge, and transferring management-related experiences and technical knowhow were of the main topics discussed between the two officials.

In addition, the two officials exchanged their views on empowering people with disabilities, disability prevention strategies, developing educational and rehabilitation centers, and organizing daycare centers as well.

The Iranian and Tajik deputy health ministers also agreed on training social workers and psychologists in Tajikistan by Iranian side, holding joint specialized conferences, and signing new memorandums of understanding to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
