Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for the Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi met and held talks with Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin in Dushanbe on Tuesday.

Iran’s President, in a meeting with the Interior Minister of Tajikistan , referred to the necessity of maintaining and strengthening unity and cohesion among regional countries, especially Islamic nations, stating: "Based on religious and cultural connections in the region, we can create a situation where communications are established easily and obstacles are removed. We can even have a common currency in the region to help economic development."

The Minister of Sports and Youth of Iran and the Sports Minister of Tajikistan signed a cooperation agreement to develop sports cooperation between the two countries.
