IRGC vows to defend Iran resolutely
Tehran - BORNA - In a statement marking the anniversary of the Dey 9 Epic, the IRGC said the events of Dey 9 represented a decisive response to a complex and multi-layered sedition that targeted Iran’s national security and social cohesion. The statement said the unrest was orchestrated through foreign operational planning centers, with the cooperation of certain internal elements.
According to the statement, the massive and conscious presence of the Iranian people, described as numbering in the tens of millions, neutralized a major conspiracy and guided the course of the Islamic Revolution through a critical juncture.
The IRGC emphasized the necessity of continuously revisiting the dimensions of the unrest and the lessons of Dey 9, warning that enemies of the Islamic Revolution continue to pursue similar plots through cognitive warfare, psychological operations, and narrative manipulation.
It identified hope erosion, fear-mongering, and promoting the idea of surrender to enemies as clear examples of seditious behavior under current conditions.
The statement said the IRGC and the Basij, while remaining prepared to confront external threats, are also vigilant against the schemes of seditionists. It added that, under the guidance of the wise and farsighted Leader of the Islamic Revolution and through the insight of the Iranian people, such plots will be thwarted.
Referring to recent regional developments and the 12-day imposed war by the United States and the Israeli regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran, the IRGC said the conflict exemplified a hybrid threat extending beyond conventional military confrontation to include security, psychological, and economic dimensions.
The statement said the 12-day war experience demonstrated that the lessons of the Dey 9 Epic continue to play a significant role in enhancing national resilience and strengthening Iran’s deterrence capability.
Warning once again against attempts to polarize society and undermine public confidence, the statement said such actions constitute playing on the enemy’s field and advancing the objectives of the global arrogance led by the United States and the Israeli regime. It stressed that today, more than ever, unity among the people, officials, and elites is essential to safeguard Iran’s security and progress.
In its concluding remarks, the IRGC emphasized that alongside other steadfast defenders of Iran, it will resolutely confront any sedition, unrest, cognitive warfare, security threat, or territorial aggression, and will firmly safeguard the independence, security, dignity, and authority of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
