Qassam confirms its spox martyrdom, introduces replacement
Tehran - BORNA - In a poignant statement reflecting on the resilience of the Gaza Strip, the Brigades addressed the people of Gaza: "Salutations to Gaza—to its soil, water, sky, and air. Salutations to its men, women, children, resistant fighters, and heroes. Greetings to your worn-out tents, destroyed homes, and exhausted bodies. Your faith and belief are stronger than what enemies and conspirators imagine."
Official Identification of the Fallen Commanders
For the first time, the Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed the real identity of the martyred military spokesman, Abu Obeida, as Huzaifa Samir Abdullah al-Kahlout (known as Abu Ibrahim). The Zionist regime had previously claimed his assassination last August.
The Brigades also confirmed the martyrdom of several high-ranking commanders, including: Mohammed al-Sinwar (brother of the martyred leader Yahya al-Sinwar). Mohammed Shabana. Raed Saad. Abu Omar al-Suri
First Statement by the New 'Abu Obeida'
The newly appointed spokesman, assuming the traditional nom de guerre "Abu Obeida," delivered his first address, describing the October 7 operation as a "thunderous explosion against injustice, oppression, and the siege." He emphasized that despite the ongoing violations and attacks, the resistance has remained committed to its obligations to the people.
"We call upon those who are concerned to disarm Israel of its lethal weapons instead of focusing on Palestinian rifles," the new spokesman stated. He warned that the occupiers' aggression has not ceased and urged the global movement in support of Gaza to continue its momentum. "O Muslim nation, wake up! Know that the autumn of the occupation has begun, and the curse of the blood of women, children, and the innocent will continue to haunt it."
Defiance and the Failure of Occupation Goals
Addressing the people of Gaza, Abu Obeida vowed loyalty to their sacrifices: "We kiss your heads and promise to remain faithful to you. Together, we will rebuild what the occupation has destroyed. Your sacrifices will not be in vain."
He noted that the steadfastness of the Palestinian people has thwarted all enemy plans, from forced displacement and "death traps" to the reconstruction of illegal settlements. "The enemy has failed to extinguish the spirit of resistance; instead, they have inherited a thirst for revenge in every Palestinian home. They could not free their captives by force, only through exchange deals."
Sovereign Right to Response
The spokesman characterized the current ceasefire as a direct result of the resistance's determination and sacrifice. "If the enemy were given a free hand and saw our people surrendered, they would not stop destroying everything in Gaza. We have an inherent and guaranteed right to respond to the crimes of the Israeli enemy."
He called on international parties to restrain the Zionist regime and force it to adhere to established agreements. He further warned: "Our people defend themselves and will not lay down their weapons as long as the occupation continues. Even if forced to fight with their teeth and nails, they will not surrender."
Appreciation for the Axis of Resistance
The Al-Qassam spokesman extended his gratitude to those standing with the Palestinian people, specifically naming the "heroes of the nation in Yemen, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, the free people of Jordan, and other countries."
In his concluding remarks, he issued a stern warning to the silent: "Inform the children of our nation that anyone who remains silent in the face of the injustice inflicted upon his brothers must wait for his own turn to be violated and attacked."
