Iranian Ambassador to Russia: Iran’s Legitimate Defense Power is Non-Negotiable

Tehran - BORNA - Kazem Jalali shared his remarks on his X (formerly Twitter) account following a meeting with Russian Iranologists and scholars at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The meeting, held during the festivities of the Islamic Revolution’s anniversary, focused on Iran's historical and contemporary trajectory.

"Indigenous defense capability is the sole guarantor of our security and the fruit of resilience against war and sanctions," Jalali stated.

The Iranian envoy further asserted: "Diplomatic rationality dictates that Iran’s legitimate defense power—which is the result of harsh historical experiences and the price of the martyrs' blood—must never be compromised or subjected to a trade-off."
