Pezeshkian: Iran Welcomes Win-Win Negotiations Based on Dignity and Sovereignty
President Masoud Pezeshkian has reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to diplomacy, stating that Tehran welcomes any negotiations conducted on equal footing, provided they are rooted in international law, national sovereignty, and the "win-win" principle.

Tehran - BORNA - Speaking on Monday during the "Salute to Ambassadors" ceremony marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, the President addressed foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations. He emphasized that engagement and dialogue remain the only sustainable paths to addressing regional and global challenges, noting that Iran's foreign policy is defined by "honorable engagement." President Pezeshkian specifically highlighted the new round of nuclear negotiations initiated in Oman, describing it as a significant opportunity for a fair, logical, and mutually satisfactory resolution to the long-standing issue.

The President outlined Tehran's clear objectives in the diplomatic arena, stating that Iran seeks to guarantee its rights under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), particularly regarding the right to enrichment, alongside the complete removal of oppressive sanctions. He noted that while the Islamic Republic is taking steps toward the success of this path, the opposing parties must also demonstrate commitment and avoid excessive demands to achieve the desired results. He underscored that Iran remains faithful to its promises, provided it witnesses sincerity and adherence to commitments from others, extending a hand of friendship to all nations seeking honest cooperation.

In a firm critique of international double standards, President Pezeshkian contrasted Iran’s democratic foundations with the "hybrid warfare" and conspiracies orchestrated by its adversaries. He slammed the brutal crimes committed by the Israeli regime in Gaza and criticized the United States for its full military support of these atrocities. He also pointed out the hypocrisy of certain European countries that aided these crimes while international human rights organizations remained silent. Regarding domestic affairs, the President distinguished between the legitimate right to protest and organized sabotage, noting that recent unrest was diverted toward violence through foreign guidance and terrorist acts, yet the resilience of the Iranian people ultimately prevailed.

Reflecting on the achievements of the Revolution, the President highlighted Iran's significant progress in science, technology, and self-sufficiency despite decades of intense sanctions and economic pressure. He described the stability observed in Iran today as a product of political maturity and a commitment to continuous reform. President Pezeshkian concluded by emphasizing Iran's "neighborhood policy" and its priority to expand relations with emerging powers that seek to strengthen multilateralism and uphold international law, expressing confidence that such cooperation will bring growth and development to various regions of the world.
