Tehran - BORNA - Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Masoud Pezeshkian on the passing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and members of his family.
Putin described Khamenei’s assassination as a blatant violation of all standards of human morality and international law.
He emphasized that Khamenei will be remembered in Russia as a prominent politician who played a significant role in fostering friendly relations between Russia and Iran.
Putin requested that Pezeshkian convey his sincere condolences and support to Khamenei’s family, the Iranian government, and the Iranian people.
