Araghchi: Iran Ready to Defend Itself for as Long as Necessary
In a phone call between the foreign ministers of Iran and Armenia, Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated that in response to the brutal attacks by the U.S. and Israel, the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to defend itself for as long as necessary.
Tehran - BORNA - During the call, Ararat Mirzoyan expressed condolences on behalf of the Armenian government and people over the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader and the deaths of Iranian civilians, including women and children, and conveyed solidarity with the Iranian people and government.
Mirzoyan also emphasized Armenia’s readiness to provide any necessary humanitarian assistance under the current circumstances.
Araghchi, referring to what he described as illegal and illegitimate aggression by the U.S. and Israel amid ongoing negotiations, reaffirmed that Iran will remain fully prepared to defend itself against these attacks for as long as required.
