Iran–Russia Foreign Ministers Hold Phone Talks
Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a telephone conversation with Sergey Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia, to discuss recent developments following the joint US–Israeli military aggression against Iran.
Tehran - BORNA - In the call, Lavrov expressed condolences over the assassination of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the deaths of senior Iranian military commanders and civilians during the attacks. He emphasized that the US and Israeli strikes violated fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, warning of severe consequences for regional and global security and stability.
Araghchi thanked Lavrov for his condolences and briefed him on the latest crimes committed by the United States and the Zionist regime against the Iranian people, including attacks on residential areas, schools, mosques, hospitals, and emergency and public service centers.
