Tehran (BORNA) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi to discuss the severe deterioration of the situation in the West Asia region, Reuters reported.
According to a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the two ministers discussed the sharp escalation in the region.
Lavrov emphasized Russia's principled position on the need for the swiftest possible de-escalation and expressed Moscow's readiness to facilitate this process.
