Lukashenko: War Against Iran Is a Mistaken War Against a Friendly Country
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, addressing a U.S. government envoy, described the imposed war against Iran as a war against a friendly country and one of the mistakes made by the United States.

Tehran - BORNA - Lukashenko, during talks with a U.S. delegation headed by special envoy John Cole, proposed that the imposed war against Iran and developments in the Middle East be included on the agenda of the negotiations between the two sides.

According to the Belta news agency, Lukashenko said during the meeting: “I strongly request that we discuss regional issues—not only the situation in Ukraine, but also global issues, and not just the war in the Middle East.”

He added: “I believe my views on global issues, especially the situation in the Middle East, will be important for you, as you have launched a war against our friends. I am ready to speak frankly about this matter.”

When asked by John Cole to clarify whether he was referring to the war with Iran, Lukashenko confirmed, saying: “Yes, I would very much like you to convey my position to Donald Trump. Despite certain mistakes I see being made by the United States, I remain supportive of your president.”
