Iran, Turkey FMs Discuss Regional Developments, Stress Continued Consultations
The foreign ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Turkey held a phone conversation to discuss the latest regional developments and the consequences of the continued military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran.

Tehran - BORNA - Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, and Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister of Turkey, exchanged views on ongoing developments in the region.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, while appreciating the efforts of Turkey and some regional countries to bring an end to the ongoing imposed war, described the aggressions and crimes committed by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran as the main cause of the current situation and insecurity in the region. He emphasized that the main issue lies in the contradictory behavior and unreasonable demands of the U.S. side, adding that such inconsistent conduct and statements are highly questionable and have increased mistrust regarding their deceitful intentions.

The Turkish Foreign Minister, referring to his country’s approach to ending the imposed war by the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressing readiness to play a constructive role in resolving the current crisis, stated that Iran’s mistrust toward the other side is understandable, as Iran has been attacked militarily twice in the course of negotiations.

The foreign ministers of Iran and Turkey agreed to continue bilateral consultations and maintain coordination with other countries in the region.
