Iran’s Leader Thanks Iraqi Clergy and People for Support Against Aggression
Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in a message expressed appreciation to the senior religious authorities and the people of Iraq for their clear stance against the aggression targeting Iran and for their support for the country.
Tehran - BORNA - The Leader thanked Iraq’s top religious establishment and its people for their explicit stance in condemning the aggression against Iran and backing the Islamic Republic.
In recent days, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, a senior Shia cleric, issued a call urging Muslims to assist the people of Iran and Lebanon.
The message of Iran’s Leader was delivered to Sheikh Hammam Hamoudi, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, following his meeting with Mohammad Kazem Al Sadeq, Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad.
