Oman’s FM Urges U.S., Iran to Extend Ceasefire and Resume Negotiations

The remarks from Muscat, a traditional mediator in regional disputes, come after the 21-hour marathon talks in Islamabad ended early Sunday morning without a final agreement. Reports indicate that the session concluded following the departure of the U.S. delegation, led by Vice President J.D. Vance, after they were unable to impose their unilateral demands on the Iranian delegation.

Despite the lack of an immediate breakthrough in Pakistan, the Omani top diplomat’s message underscores the international community's desire to prevent a return to active hostilities.
