Baghaei: Iran reviewing US response to 14-point plan
The Spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasizing that the 14-point plan of Iran does not contain issues related to the country's nuclear matters, stated: "The Americans have delivered the response to this plan to the Pakistani side, and we are currently reviewing it."

Tehran - BORNA - Esmaeil Baghaei spoke on Sunday night in a televised interview regarding some issues raised in connection with Iran's 14-point plan to the United States, including claims that it proposes a 15-year suspension of Iran's nuclear activities and the report published by Al Jazeera regarding this plan, saying: "The plan we have presented is focused on ending the war, and data-x-items related to the details of the country's nuclear issues absolutely do not exist in this plan."

The senior diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated: "We are currently focused on the issue of ending the war in the region, including Lebanon."

Baghaei also reiterated that Iran's 14-point plan is focused on the termination of the war and that other mentioned data-x-items are not in this plan, noting: "It remains to be seen what happens in the future, and decisions regarding other issues will be made in their own time; as I mentioned, at this stage, we are focused on ending the war and we have no nuclear negotiations."

In response to a question regarding the Al Jazeera report emphasizing that under this plan, Iran and the U.S. are to cooperate with each other in the field of demining the Strait of Hormuz, Baghaei pointed out: "This is also among the things that I think are fabrications of the imagination of certain media outlets, and such a thing does not exist in the plan."

The Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, further in this televised conversation, announced that the American side has responded to Iran's proposed plan and has reflected its views to the Pakistani side as the mediator of the negotiations, stating: "We are reviewing these views and will adopt the necessary reaction."

In response to the question, "What is our guarantee that the other side will fulfill its obligations?", the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson noted: "I do not agree with the word 'guarantee'; in my opinion, we are the guarantee ourselves. The guarantee is the power and the levers that we have at our disposal and must use in the best way, and in fact, our guarantee is our power."

In another part of his remarks with the television program "Be Vaghte Iran," which is broadcast live on the News Network (Shabake Khabar), Baghaei stated that Iran has never negotiated under ultimatums or deadlines and pays no heed to these artificial deadlines. Regarding the mention of a 30-day window in the said plan, he noted: "As I said, this plan is based on first arranging an understanding for the termination of the war, and then, within a 30-day timeframe, discussing and negotiating the manner of its implementation."

The Foreign Ministry Spokesperson emphasized: "Naturally, we cannot discuss and reach a conclusion on the executive details of the understanding within the framework of a 14-point understanding; this matter requires time, and the 30-day timeframe is intended for this purpose."
