National Security Commission Spokesperson: Accept Iran’s Sovereignty Over the Strait of Hormuz
The spokesperson for the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission stated that the only way to reopen the Strait of Hormuz is to acknowledge defeat, reach an agreement, and accept Iran’s authority over the waterway.
Tehran - BORNA - Ebrahim Rezaei, the spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, wrote on his personal X (Twitter) page in response to Donald Trump’s rhetoric regarding the Strait of Hormuz:
"The Strait of Hormuz was not closed by a tweet, and it will not be opened by a tweet.
The path to reopening the Strait of Hormuz is either the acceptance of defeat, reaching an agreement, and acknowledging Iran’s lordship and authority over the Strait of Hormuz; or a return to the battlefield, accepting another humiliating defeat, and acknowledging Iran’s lordship and authority over the Strait of Hormuz. There is no other way remaining."
