Full results of World Junior Weightlifting C’ships: Iran crowned champion with 14 medals
The Iranian national junior weightlifting team clinched the championship title at the World Junior Weightlifting Championships, securing 6 gold, 7 silver, and 1 bronze medal, totaling 520 points to finish ahead of Egypt and Venezuela.

Tehran - BORNA - Despite initial visa issuance challenges, the Iranian squad, led by head coach Sohrab Moradi, competed in Ismailia, Egypt, with eight weightlifters.

Representing Iran in this edition were Amirmohammad Rahmati and Mohammadamin Dadvand (88kg), Hamidreza Zarei and Mohammadamin Habibi (94kg), Abolfazl Zare and Farhad Gholizadeh (110kg), along with Hamidreza Mohammadi Tanha and Taha Nemati Moqaddam (+110kg).

Iran secured the top spot on the podium with 520 points, while host nation Egypt followed in second place with 427 points, and Venezuela took third with 380 points.

The Iranian team’s medal haul was highlighted by Abolfazl Zare (110kg) and Hamidreza Mohammadi Tanha (+110kg), who each swept three gold medals across the snatch, clean and jerk, and total categories.

In the 110kg category, Farhad Gholizadeh earned three silver medals, while Taha Nemati Moqaddam mirrored that achievement in the +110kg category by securing three silvers for the team.

Additionally, Hamidreza Zarei claimed a silver medal in the clean and jerk and a bronze medal in the total for the 94kg category, after finishing fourth in the snatch. In the same weight class, Mohammadamin Habibi placed sixth in both snatch and clean and jerk, finishing fifth overall.

In the 88kg category, Amirmohammad Rahmati finished eighth in the snatch and seventh in both the clean and jerk and total. Meanwhile, Mohammadamin Dadvand placed eleventh in the snatch but failed to record a successful lift in the clean and jerk.
