Araghchi protests illegal detention of Iranian nationals by Kuwait
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has strongly protested the illegal detention of Iranian nationals by Kuwaiti authorities, asserting that Tehran reserves the right to respond to this provocative action.

Tehran - BORNA - In a post on his X social media account, Araghchi detailed the incident, describing it as a calculated attempt to stir tension and division in the region. "In a blatant effort to create division and tension, Kuwait has unlawfully attacked an Iranian vessel in the Persian Gulf and detained four of our nationals," the Foreign Minister wrote.

He further noted that the illegal seizure took place near an island previously utilized by the United States as a launch point for strikes against Iran.

Emphasizing the necessity of a swift diplomatic resolution, Araghchi stated: "We demand the immediate release of our nationals and reserve the right to respond [to this action]."
