Pakistan supports China's mediating role between Iran and U.S.

Tehran - BORNA - The Pakistani official, speaking at the ministry's weekly press briefing in response to a question from the RIA Novosti news agency, stated: "We are closely following the dialogue process between the United States and China... We support Beijing's participation in mediation efforts to resolve the disputes between Tehran and Washington."

U.S. President Donald Trump is on an official visit to China from May 13 to 15. His meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping took place today, and the two leaders are scheduled to hold further discussions during a working lunch on Friday.

Prior to his trip, Trump expressed expectations for positive outcomes from this visit, noting his intention to hold detailed negotiations with the Chinese leader regarding the resolution of issues related to Iran.
