Iran's youth freestyle wrestling team crowned Asian champions

Tehran - BORNA - For Team Iran, Mehdi Damircheli (45kg), Baniyamín Ashteh (51kg), Arman Elahi (55kg), and Amir Ali Farasti (80kg) won gold medals. Amir Ali Ragheb (48kg) and Amir Hossein Esmaili (110kg) secured silver medals. Mohammad Taha Ganjeh (60kg) and Amir Abbas Lotfinejad (65kg) earned bronze medals.

In the 45kg weight class, Mehdi Damircheli received a bye in the first round. In the second round, he defeated Halmiradov 11-1 and advanced to the semifinals. In the semifinals, he beat Khudzhiev from Tajikistan 10-0 and reached the final. In the championship match, Damircheli defeated Muhammad Rahimjanov from Uzbekistan 10-0 to claim the gold medal.

In the 48kg weight class, Amir Ali Ragheb received a bye in the first round. In the second round, he defeated Murt Durdyev from Turkmenistan 7-0 and advanced to the semifinals.
