Gharibabadi: First Joint Hormuz Committee Convened in Muscat
The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, who has traveled to Muscat to hold the Joint Hormuz Committee with the Omani side, announced that Paragraph 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and the sovereign rights of coastal states were discussed during the meeting.
Tehran - BORNA - Kazem Gharibabadi stated in a message: "During the visit to Muscat, the first meeting of the Joint Hormuz Committee was held with Abdulaziz Al Hinai, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Oman."
He continued: "In this meeting, while reviewing current issues regarding the Strait of Hormuz, we exchanged views on its future management within the framework of Paragraph 5 of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and the sovereign rights of coastal states."
