The classification and final matches of the first 5 weight categories of the Asian Junior Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship were held today in Pattaya, Thailand.

Tehran - BORNA - The results of the Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling representatives are as follows:

In the 55 kg category, Armin Shamsipour defeated Kabulov from Kazakhstan 11-2 in the opening round to advance to the semifinals. In this stage, he beat Alimzhanov from Kyrgyzstan 4-2 to reach the final. Shamsipour secured the gold medal in the final bout by overpowering Atabek Tursunov from Uzbekistan with an 8-0 victory.

In the 63 kg category, Ali Gharibi, after drawing a bye in the first round, defeated Malik from India 10-2 in the second round to book his place in the semifinals. In the semifinal stage, he defeated Khonjbek Ismoilov from Uzbekistan 9-0 to reach the final. Gharibi clinched the gold medal by defeating Zhaojian Wang from China 8-1 in the final match.

In the 77 kg category, Amir-Mehdi Saeedi-Nava defeated Zheying Song from China 9-0 in the first round. In the next round, he defeated Erzhan Akylbek Uulu from Kyrgyzstan 8-0 to advance to the semifinals. Saeedi-Nava emerged victorious against Bakdaulet Tursynbek from Kazakhstan with a 7-3 scoreline in the semifinals, but was disqualified by the referee after the match due to unsportsmanlike conduct and was eliminated from the tournament.

In the 87 kg category, Amir-Hossein Nematzadeh, after resting in the first round, defeated Bobur Abdulrasulov from Uzbekistan 9-0 in the second round to head into the semifinals. At this stage, he lost 6-3 to Alikhan Tegayev from Kazakhstan and went to the bronze medal match. Nematzadeh bypassed Qiangle Wang from China with an 8-0 win to secure the bronze medal.

In the 130 kg category, Amir-Hossein Abdevali defeated Nematov from Uzbekistan 3-1 in the first round. In the following round, he overcame Park from South Korea 9-1 to advance to the semifinals. Abdevali defeated Chengmao Cui from China 5-1 at this stage to book his ticket to the final. He stood atop the podium after a 7-1 victory over Aslan Agadadayev from Turkmenistan in the final bout.
