Rear Admiral Ali Azmaei, who previously served as deputy commander of the IRGC Navy, has been appointed as the new commander of the force.
Tehran - BORNA - Rear Admiral Ali Azmaei, who had previously commanded the IRGC Navy's Fifth Naval Region, has been introduced as the new commander of the IRGC Navy.
He succeeds Martyr Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri, who had commanded the IRGC Navy until his martyrdom on March 30 this year due to injuries sustained during US and Zionist regime attacks in the Ramadan War.
