Iran, Pakistan Foreign Ministers Hold Phone Consultations on Regional Developments

Tehran - BORNA -  The top diplomats evaluated the latest regional updates, with Pakistan’s foreign ministry underscoring Islamabad's ongoing diplomatic efforts to maintain regional equilibrium.

During the call, Ishaq Dar urged all involved parties to pursue the path of de-escalation and exercise maximum restraint, in strict alignment with the principles agreed upon in the June 2026 Islamabad memorandum of understanding.

The Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister reiterated that open dialogue and constructive diplomacy remain the only viable frameworks for resolving current disputes and establishing sustainable peace and stability across the region. He further emphasized Islamabad's unwavering readiness to continue playing a constructive, mediating role in promoting and safeguarding regional security.

Concluding their conversation, Araghchi and Ishaq Dar agreed to maintain close, regular contact and continue bilateral consultations as the regional situation unfolds.
