IRGC Navy: Two Tankers Explode in Mined Route, Four Vessels Halted in Strait of Hormuz

Tehran - BORNA - According to statements released by the IRGC Public Relations, the two oil tankers exploded after attempting to navigate a mined route in the southern Strait of Hormuz, allegedly misled by U.S. intelligence agencies.

Reaffirming its stance on the strategic waterway, the IRGC Navy declared that the Strait of Hormuz is highly unsafe and completely closed due to U.S. military hostilities. The military branch emphasized that until American aggression ceases, no chemical fertilizers, oil, or gas will be allowed to exit the region.

In a separate operation over the preceding hours, the IRGC Navy launched a joint missile and drone strike to halt four other non-compliant vessels. According to the statement, these four ships attempted to transit the Strait of Hormuz under the protection of the U.S. military before being forcefully stopped in their tracks.

The IRGC cautioned shipowners and regional maritime operators against relying on groundless U.S. military assurances, urging them to heed IRGC warnings and avoid entering mined paths to preserve their assets and crew lives.
