Iran's Interior Minister Arrives in Islamabad with President's Message
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni arrived in Islamabad on Monday, carrying a message from President Masoud Pezeshkian regarding the current regional situation, Pakistani sources told Al Jazeera.
Tehran - BORNA - An official delegation comprising security and economic officials, led by Momeni, landed in the Pakistani capital early Monday morning for the one-day official visit.
A well-placed source within Pakistan's Ministry of Interior confirmed Momeni's arrival to the Qatari broadcaster, noting the high-level nature of the diplomatic mission.
The visit takes place within the framework of Islamabad's ongoing mediation efforts between Iran and the United States. During his trip, the Iranian interior minister is scheduled to hold extensive talks with high-ranking Pakistani officials to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments.
