1,412 Days to Next World Cup: 44 Days, 6 Countries, and 3 Continents
Tehran - BORNA - Commemorating the centenary of the tournament, the 2030 World Cup will span 44 days from June 8 to July 21, 2030, making it the longest edition in FIFA history to accommodate extensive intercontinental travel.
For the first time, the tournament will be co-hosted by six nations across three continents. Spain, Portugal, and Morocco will serve as the primary hosts for the tournament, while the centenary opening matches will be staged in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
The three opening centenary matches will be played at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo, Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires, and Estadio Osvaldo Domínguez Dib in Asunción, before the tournament moves entirely to Europe and Africa.
According to FIFA, the host city for the final match has not yet been finalized. The world football governing body has set a deadline until December 2026 to receive bidding proposals from candidate cities, with Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu stadium considered a strong contender to host the final.
