IRGC Statement on Targeting U.S. Military Assets in Kuwait

Tehran - BORNA - According to the IRGC Public Relations Department, the operations were carried out under the code name "Ya Ruqayya" as part of the 22nd wave of "Nasr 2" operations, launched in response to repeated U.S. strikes on Iranian territory.

The statement addressed the people of Kuwait, noting that portions of their territory have long been occupied by U.S. forces and utilized as staging grounds for military operations across the region. It highlighted that 140 days ago, the U.S. military utilized these regional bases to initiate a conflict against Iran, which began with an attack on a school in Minab that killed 168 students, alongside the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.

The IRGC emphasized that Islamic territories must not serve as safe havens for a military force that has invaded multiple Muslim nations over recent decades. The statement urged the Kuwaiti population to fulfill their religious and national duties by rejecting the foreign military presence and preventing their soil from being used as a launchpad for aggression against neighboring Muslim populations.

Detailing the tactical achievements of the drone strikes, the IRGC confirmed the complete destruction of a U.S. early warning radar system. Additionally, the strikes targeted an aviation components warehouse and an MQ-9 Reaper drone hangar located at the Ali Al Salem Air Base, resulting in several unmanned aerial vehicles being set on fire.
