IRGC Issues Message to Kuwaiti People: We Target U.S.-Occupied Territories, Not Your Sovereignty
Tehran - BORNA - According to Statement No. 44 of Operation Nasr 2 released by the IRGC Public Relations, Iranian forces conducted a series of drone strikes against U.S. military installations hosted on Kuwaiti soil, citing ongoing U.S. aggression in the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement detailed that drone strikes targeted and destroyed a major military equipment depot, a Patriot air defense system, and an MQ-9 Reaper drone hangar at Ali Al Salem Air Base. Additionally, IRGC forces struck U.S. troop quarters and two helicopter hangars at Udairi Camp (Camp Buehring), causing significant casualties among U.S. personnel and inflicting heavy damage on several helicopters and drones. Iranian forces also knocked out a U.S. telecommunications tower in response to recent American strikes on communication towers inside Iran.
Addressing accusations regarding territorial violations, the IRGC declared: "Sometimes it is said that Iran's attacks violate the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of regional countries, but such a judgment is entirely incorrect. In our view, the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of your government are completely respected."
The statement argued that American military compounds operate outside Kuwaiti legal jurisdiction, border control, and judicial oversight, asserting: "It is the United States that has violated your territorial integrity and sovereignty, not us. We are attacking lands occupied by the U.S. military."
The IRGC connected its military operations to the ongoing civilian toll of the war, referencing the funeral held yesterday in Minab for 168 school children killed on the first day of the conflict during U.S. airstrikes.
"It is our legal, religious, and logical right to target the aggressor and the killers of our children from wherever they launch their attacks," the statement concluded, thanking the Kuwaiti public for their understanding.
