Iran Commends SCO's Condemnation of U.S. Military Aggression
Tehran - BORNA - Araghchi made the remarks during a bilateral meeting with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev on Friday evening in the resort city of Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers.
Expressing gratitude for Kyrgyzstan's hosting of the summit, the Iranian foreign minister emphasized the importance of leveraging both bilateral mechanisms and multilateral frameworks within the SCO to expand ties.
Referring to U.S. military aggression and broken commitments, Araghchi praised the unanimous position taken by the SCO foreign ministers in condemning the attack on Iran.
"The international community must recognize the dangerous consequences of U.S. lawlessness and militarism in West Asia," Araghchi said. "It must speak with one voice against grave violations of the UN Charter and international law, demanding that American and Israeli perpetrators be held accountable and punished."
For his part, Foreign Minister Kulubaev expressed appreciation for Iran's active participation in the ministerial summit and voiced hope that member states would continue strengthening cooperation under Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship to achieve the organization's strategic goals.
The two diplomats also reviewed avenues to enhance bilateral relations across key sectors, including trade, economy, transportation, energy, and transit.
