Iran oil minister: Oil sales have not stopped

Tehran - BORNA - Responding to remarks suggesting that Iran had been unable to sell oil, Paknejad said the sales process remains underway.

“I will not go into details, because if such information is disclosed, it could be exploited by the enemy,” he said.

Paknejad added that at certain points, Iran had been able to transport oil to locations where it could be delivered to customers, saying the volumes involved were considerable.

“Up to this moment, the process of selling oil outside our territorial waters, in distant waters — meaning delivery to customers — is continuing,” he said in a video interview.

The oil minister said crude oil shipments had also continued after the blockade.

“In the interval between the two blockades, we managed to move crude oil, and after the blockade, oil sales also continued. They have declined, but they have continued,” Paknejad said.

He added that the Oil Ministry is actively pursuing measures needed to maintain the sales process.
