IRGC: Two 'Offending' Oil Tankers Hit Mines and Catch Fire in Strait of Hormuz

Tehran - BORNA - In its eighth official statement, the IRGC’s Public Relations department reported that the vessels had evacuated their original crews following "incitement by the terrorist US military." The tankers were subsequently handed over to American agents to bypass lawful shipping channels.

"Hours ago, two oil tankers... hit mines, exploded, and are currently burning," the statement read, confirming that the vessels were completely immobilized by the blasts.

The IRGC Navy highlighted that it had previously issued stern warnings regarding the severe risks of traversing the mined corridor. The military body also issued a stark warning to international shipping firms, stating: "Additional punishments have been foreseen and will soon be implemented for maritime companies that, instead of taking the legal route, are deceived by the US and hand their vessels over to the enemy."

Condemnation of US Tactics

Within the communique, the IRGC strongly condemned a recent deadly attack on a civilian wedding ceremony, accusing the US military of executing a recurring "scenario of intimidation" designed to demonstrate cruelty and instill public fear.

"The Iranian nation is not one to be frightened by these games, nor is this an era of humiliation and submission for nations," the statement declared. "The world has awakened, and this is the century where the will of nations prevails."

The IRGC firmly concluded that such acts of intimidation would not diminish Iran's strategic control and operational oversight over the Strait of Hormuz.
