Australia, China, Thailand win on Day 2 of Asian Volleyball Championship
Australia, China and Thailand recorded victories on the second day of the 2026 Asian Volleyball Championship in Fukuoka, Japan.
Tehran - BORNA - The tournament, which also serves as the first stage of qualification for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, began on Friday and will run for 10 days.
Australia defeated Bahrain 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-21), while China swept India 3-0 (25-21, 28-26, 27-25).
Thailand also registered a straight-sets victory, beating Qatar 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-14).
The third day of the preliminary round will be held on Sunday.
Iran will face India at 4:30 a.m., followed by Qatar against Chinese Taipei at 8 a.m. and Japan against Bahrain at 2 p.m.
