Iran's ambassador delivers Ghalibaf's message to Armenian parliament speaker

Tehran - BORNA - Khalil Shirgholami, Iran's ambassador to Armenia, met and held talks Wednesday with Ruben Rubinyan, speaker of Armenia's National Assembly.

The meeting, held in a friendly atmosphere at the Armenian parliament, covered the latest developments and issues related to bilateral relations, particularly ways to develop and expand parliamentary ties.

Congratulating Rubinyan on his election as speaker of Armenia's National Assembly, Shirgholami expressed hope that parliamentary relations between the two countries would expand further under the new term and serve as an important avenue for advancing shared goals and institutionalizing bilateral relations.

Shirgholami also delivered Ghalibaf's congratulatory message to the Armenian parliament speaker and wished him success in his new role.

Rubinyan, for his part, pointed to the deepening and expansion of Iran-Armenia relations in recent years, stressing that expanding ties with Iran is not only a priority for the Armenian government but also a public desire among the Armenian people.

He noted that even the difficult regional circumstances and military conflicts of recent years have not hindered the continued growth of bilateral cooperation.

The two sides went on to discuss ways to develop inter-parliamentary communication and expand mutual visits and engagement between parliamentary friendship groups.
