The official stressed that safe transit through the waterway remains strictly contingent upon Tehran's regulatory protocols. "There is no viable or sustainable operational mechanism for safe navigation through this strategic waterway outside the framework established and authorized by the Islamic Republic of Iran," he said. "Donald Trump cannot soothe energy markets or obscure the mounting costs of his blockade and hostile policies through public posturing and social media posts."

The remarks follow Trump’s formal rejection on Saturday of Iran's proposed seven-day framework and timeline to de-escalate tensions and reopen the Strait of Hormuz to international commercial traffic.
