Iran sweep Thailand for second straight volleyball win at Asian Games
Iran’s national men's volleyball team secured a commanding straight-sets victory over Thailand on Monday, maintaining an unblemished record in the preliminary stage of the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya.
Tehran - BORNA - Led by head coach Roberto Piazza, the Iranian squad dominated proceedings from the outset to seal a 3-0 sweep (25-18, 25-18, 25-15) in a fixture that got underway at 10:30 AM local time.
Iran's starting lineup featured captain Amin Esmaeilnezhad, Poriya Hossein Khanzadeh, Seyed Eisa Naseri, Mohammad Valizadeh, Arshia Behnezhad, Ali Haghparast, and libero Hossein Haji Kalateh.
