Leader: Eras of subservience that enemies crave will never be repeated

Tehran - BORNA - "As a servant of the dear people of Iran, I declare that those bygone days which our enemy yearns to restore are gone and will never be repeated," the Leader affirmed, drawing a sharp contrast between the pre-revolutionary era of foreign domination and the present standing of the Islamic Republic.

Reflecting on national history, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that prior to the 1979 Islamic Revolution, foreign ambassadors dictated domestic policy to the monarch. Following the revolution, adversaries launched the eight-year imposed war in a failed bid to reverse the nation's trajectory, yet the Islamic system emerged "like a phoenix from the fire, stronger and more elevated than before."

Highlighting the shifting military balance across regional waterways, the Leader noted that while southern maritime corridors were once dominated by foreign powers, regional deterrence has dramatically transformed the theater. Adversaries, having sustained severe blows from the defenders of the Strait of Hormuz, no longer venture beyond the Arabian Sea, he noted, adding that foreign forces will eventually be compelled to vacate the Arabian Sea as well.

Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to widespread popular mobilization on the domestic front, noting that over 30 million Iranians have declared their readiness to make sacrifices for the country. When formal registration was recently opened, more than 500,000 citizens registered within the first 100 minutes alone, reflecting a resilient social base where women have notably stood at the forefront of courage and national dedication.

Paying tribute to late leaders Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader emphasized that the nation’s strategic power has expanded under successive adversities, extending its influence far beyond its borders.

Commemorating the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, Ayatollah Khamenei characterized the late Hezbollah leader as an unprecedented figure in the history of the Levant who elevated Lebanon's dignity and permanently anchored resistance in regional consciousness. The Leader emphasized that the banner of resistance is now steadfastly carried forward by Sheikh Naim Qassem at the helm of Hezbollah.
