Iranian, Armenian foreign ministers meet in Tehran

Tehran - BORNA - Mirzoyan, who arrived in the Iranian capital on an official visit, is scheduled to hold meetings with Araghchi and several other senior officials of the Islamic Republic throughout the day.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei had announced Mirzoyan's two-day visit, noting that the trip takes place within the framework of ongoing consultations between Tehran and Yerevan aimed at expanding bilateral relations and bolstering regional peace and security.

Baghaei added that the Armenian top diplomat's discussions with senior Iranian officials will focus on exploring avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation as well as regional collaboration in the South Caucasus.

The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed the visit in a statement, noting that the agenda includes talks on Iran-Armenia bilateral ties and regional issues of mutual interest.
