Iran's proposed Defense Minister Mehrdad Akhlaghi has met with the Chief Commander of the Army Major General Amir Hatami to discuss enhancing military cooperation and upgrading the country's combat capabilities.

Tehran - BORNA - During the meeting held at the Army Headquarters in Tehran, Hatami praised the relentless efforts of the defense industry experts during the recent "12-day war" and "Ramadan war."

He noted that despite the enemy's attempts to halt the production of military equipment and weapons, the managers and staff of the Defense Ministry did not allow the adversaries' dreams to materialize, ensuring that defense production lines never stopped for a moment during the most critical conditions.

"The recent imposed war demonstrated that the country's indigenous defense industry is, in the true sense of the word, a supporter and backer of the combatants on the battlefield," the Army chief stated.

Hatami added that the enemies of the Islamic Republic have faced a "historical bewilderment" and total failure in their calculations due to the synergy of the Armed Forces and the Iranian nation.

Describing Akhlaghi as an experienced and revolutionary figure, the commander emphasized that the Army intends to maximize its use of the defense industry's dynamic capacities to further increase its operational power.

For his part, Akhlaghi, who currently serves as the CEO of the Defense Industries Organization, expressed gratitude for the Army's ongoing synergy and cooperation.

He announced the organization's complete readiness to utilize all its industrial capacities to interact with the four branches of the Army in order to supply their military requirements and elevate the nation's defensive preparedness.

The proposed minister concluded by expressing hope that the powerful Armed Forces would soon achieve the "ultimate victory," which he defined as the complete expulsion of the United States from the region.
